OVERVIEW
We are a social and professional org, located at Mays Business school, open to all majors and class years, undergraduate and graduate.
Our Purpose:
Connect Foreign Exchange Students with Domestic Students
Promote studying abroad and broaden the global mindset of IBA members
Learn about international business and current international events
Meeting Structure:
Weekly meetings on Wednesdays from 8:00 to 9:00 pm at Wehner or Wayne Roberts Building
Three week meeting rotation:
General Meetings - Cultural presentations from foreign exchange students, discussing international events and their relevance in the business landscape, networking and icebreaker opportunities.
Professional Speaker Series - Hear from various industry experts and professors, all with international background or extensive work experience / travel experience abroad.
Social Events - social opportunities funded by IBA, previous events include grill outs, lake days, Top Golf, ice skating, billiards, and more!
Buddy Program
Get paired with 1-2 international students who are doing an exchange here at Mays
Help them acclimate to campus and College Station - grab to lunch with them, invite them to campus events or games, answer any questions they have
Become their good friend and resource while they are here
Visit them if you ever go abroad!
Other Events and Activities
Intramurals: We host lots of intramurals teams such as Soccer, Volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee. Joining these teams and participating are a great way to make friends and get to know both domestic and international members on a deeper level.
City Trips: Help us give exchange students a small tour of a Texan City!
Formal: we host a formal for our members at the end of every year.
