The International Business Association, founded in 1998, serves two main roles: we are an organization of like-minded students looking to study International Business, as well as the receiving organization for international students attending Texas A&M on exchange. We learn about global business issues and have frequent social and service events to build camaraderie and spread the Aggie Spirit to new friends from around the world. This unique makeup of American and International students provides a unique, educational, and fun environment.
Our Mission
Interaction between domestic and international students in social and professional environments.
Opportunities to interact with international business executives and learn from their experiences.
Introduce international students to Aggie culture by participating in University traditions.
Opportunities to gain understanding of world events.
Providing avenues for securing mentoring assistance from former students engaged in international business careers.
Our Goals
Our goals are to improve and broaden the mindset of IBA members as well as increase the number of students who study and intern abroad, earn certificates in international business studies, and secure meaningful and rewarding careers in international business.
Things We Do
IBA has a 3 week rotational structure: General Meetings, Professional SPeaker Series, and Social Events.
General Meetings
We hold regular meetings in Wehner and Wayne Roberts on Wednesday evenings from 8:00 - 9:00.
Professional Speaker Series
We invite professional speakers to tell us about their experiences working in and around different cultures in a professional setting.
Social Events
IBA hosts and funds social events to connect students and bridge the gap between the domestic and foreign exchange students.

Road Trips
We want those studying abroad at A&M to venture beyond College Station. Throughout the year we arrange road trips for all members to participate in, and domestic students often open up their home and allow us to experience their city! Trips have included the Texas State Fair in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and NASA in Houston.
Service
During the year IBA participates in local service activities such as Brazos Valley Food Bank, Big Event, BUILD, and Replant in order to give back to the community that gives so much to us.
